Hello Family and Friends,
Before we left we had the opportunity to talk to some reporters about the trip and how Thirst Relief International is working to save lives. Below are two links to the pieces that were on the news in Eugene over the Memorial Day weekend.

It's interesting to see ourselves on TV (since we haven't owned one in the past 3 years). Also, it is so important to know that this trip it is not about us or our abilities, but it is all about bringing clean water to more people and alleviating all the problems associated with water-related disease. More and more, I truly believe it is a fundamental solution to many of the developing world's problems. Thirst Relief International is an inspiration and it keeps us going when the hills are steep and the legs are screaming.
Had a great night camping on the banks of the Burnt River last night and experienced a brief thunderstorm with big rolling thunder and high winds. Jenny and I had some good time to talk while waiting out the rain. I can't imagine doing this with anyone else, I love her so much and am very impressed with how smooth things are going.
We are in Baker City, OR now...almost across Oregon. We were ahead of schedule so we have the afternoon to rest and see the town before meeting up with a friend of Jenny's from work. We are staying on her ranch tonight and I'm really excited. I do love the wild west and it's cool to go through all these small ranching communities in eastern Oregon. I really think I was meant to be a cowboy. That said, it is somewhat difficult to strike up a conversation with a tough, Marlboro man-type rancher when you're wearing spandex and riding a funny bike. Oh well...keeps me humble.
Please tell your friends about the cause and continue to encourage others to donate. Thanks to all of you that have donated so far. I will post a total received up to this point in my next post.
Keep it real,
Scott and Jenny
