Letter from the Director of Operations

Dear Friends,

Clearly, times are tough in the U.S. and around the world. To see this you don’t have to go far; all you have to do is watch the media, your neighbor or your own wallet. In the back of our mind lies an ever-present and weighty tension from lackluster economies and seemingly endless global political uprisings. With this in mind, it’s easy to retreat into a mode of fiscal self preservation.

We know times are tough and that’s why Thirst Relief is such a great charity. Where else can you donate just $5 and save a life?

At Thirst Relief, $5 provides at least 20 years of clean drinking water to someone who is literally dying of thirst. Other water charities need $15-$25 to do the same thing. We know you work hard for your money so why not make your donation have three to five times the impact at Thirst Relief? It’s an economical and extremely efficient way for you to give.

Even though times are tough, we have it better than most. Nearly 2/3 of people who lack access to clean water live on less than $2 per day. 1/3 of those people live on less than $1 per day. (UN World Water Assessment Programme) Compare that to your income. A recurring $5 donation made by you would not likely impact your financial state and might even go unnoticed when it appears on your statement.

Please consider visiting www.thirstrelief.org and make the small commitment to sign up as a monthly recurring donor. By doing this You WILL save lives and change the world!

Best to you,
Nathan White
