Let's get creative

There are lots of great ways to quench thirst and change lives this holiday season. You can send a Thirst Relief e-card like Jim mentioned in the last post. But here are a couple more creative ways you can get involved...

Help us win the Global Giving Challenge
Click here to check out Thirst Relief's Cameroon project, now posted on the Global Giving website! Here's the challenge: If we can raise at least $3,000 from 75 unique donors before November 21st, Thirst Relief will win a permanent listing on Global Giving's website. This will enable thousands of people to learn about and support Cameroon and other worthy projects. That means your gift of $10, $25, or $75 will not only help provide safe water in Cameroon, but it could lead to lots of other gifts too.

Enter the Westerville House Raffle
We've mentioned this before, but did you know the Westerville House Raffle will also be giving out cash prizes to entrants? First prize is the house, but you could also win $500, $1,000, $2,500, or even $10,000 in cash. And of course, Thirst Relief has been chosen to receive part of the raffle's proceeds, so by participating you are also supporting the cause of safe water. Tickets are $125. UPDATE: We did not win the Global Giving Project Challenge, but we did raise $645 toward our project in Cameroon. That's enough to provide 8 biosand filters to families in need! We will also have the chance to participate in future challenges. Thanks to all who contributed.
